Does anyone know if these might be the same variety? They are both Prunus x rossica it seems. I can find no information whatsoever on Kuban Delight except on Raintree, which also just calls it Delight maybe? Anyway, anyone know for sure if this is the case or not?
There seems to be a Russian rootstock called ‘Kuban 86’ (Кубань-86). I wonder if that’s where the “Kuban” in the name came from? Like maybe ‘Delight’ on ‘Kuban 86’ aka “Kuban Delight”?
It seems “Kuban” (Кубань) is a region by the Black Sea.
Delight is an interspecific (multiple crosses back and forth) between Prunus salicina and P. cerasifera.
