Digging wild rootstocks

I’ve got a few wild seedlings around here that I plan to graft over to something interesting and then move. What’s the right order to do this in? Graft, let it sit for a season, then dig up and move, or just do it all at once?

They’re mulberries, in case that matters.

I’d graft and then move. You’ll probably have better success grafting with a bigger root system. Then you only need to move the ones that take. If you’ll graft more next yr then you could move those now.
