Do I need to support pawpaw branch?

My pawpaw has set fruit for the first time and I’m getting a bit concerned about one cluster supporting branch.
Should I rig up some sort of support for this? I don’t want to risk it cracking. I’ve never had enough fruit of anything for this to be an issue so wanted to know if I’m just being overly nervous.

The other 2 look fine to me.

That close to the tree trunk probably not. If you support it can be done with a sting up higher on the trunk.

I would most likely support it. Pawpaw tend to equalize their fruit size to tree size though. My guess is the fruit will not get very large.

Pawpaw branches are very flexible. I’ve never seen one break because of the weight of fruit.
