Do you use capellary action?

In container growing I use this a lot, because fertilized water draining out need to go back to the top. It is a practice I do, using strands from a heavy duty mop head.

Are you talking about using a wicking system?

Pretty much, same thing, I use fast draining container mix, not too fast.

Are you only using this with citrus only?

I use it mainly on large containers that just been uppotted, do it on all my tree’s except figs, those containers are sitting about 2 inches in dirt because the roots has to come out the drain holes. Mulch all around the container. With figs they find moisture right away, roots go quite a distant in no time. You will see the difference in the tree, much healthier looking leaves and growth. All my containers have large square drain holes.
