Double Jewel peach problems

Mark,
All of my trees on Guardian are extremely healthy, including my
July Princes. The only peach tree that I’ve seen look like that had borers. Have you checked for borers or possible soil pathogens.

Even though my Indian Free bloomed late I did have a few days of crossover with regular peaches, and the tree is full of fruit.

Ray,

I haven’t specifically looked for borers on that tree. I’ll look tomorrow. What seems strange is that I have an orchard of 400 peach trees and that’s the only one which looks like that.

It may not be the rootstock, I don’t know. I only have four or five other peach trees on Guardian and they look fine, but they are in a different section of the orchard. Because of that I wondered if this area was a little too wet for Guardian, or if it was more sensitive to crown gall (I know I have crown gall in the orchard.) But maybe it’s something else.

I don’t think it’s the wetness, because last year, one of my trees on
guardian got flooded six times, during our floods, and it shook it off
like nothing happened. My money is on borers,
