So I was digging on the web through old gardening threads about pears and I found a reference to Elmore Roots Nursery, <span style="font-size: 9px">LLC</span> : Plants. I was surprised because I have never heard of them before. They carry several unusual varieties of pears, apples, nuts, ribes, ornamentals etc. Think it’s possible you might find something you have been looking for with this company. Could not pull up any scoop information on them from google. Emailed them to find out if they ship bareroot or if they primarily sell to VT customers.

I don’t know if they are ship. I dealt with them a number of times many years ago, but always drove out to the nursery.
They are very nice folks, and quite knowledgeable about what works in this climate, but I have to say the quality of the stock for the price they asked was less than stellar back then…tending to small with poorly formed structure.
Everything I bought from them survived and established, but it all took a couple extra years to size up compared to other suppliers,
Still, they do offer a good selection of cold hardy material.

Thanks Rob I may pass them by for now. The varieties were very different from other companies and had me tempted.
