Cliff mentioned that he will be hosting the second annual tour 10/14/2024.
Last year was a memorable event. Please respond if you will be attending, it is good to put faces to names.

Thanks for posting, I did attend last year also and putting it on the calender to attend again this year.
I put it on my calendar but odds are slim I’ll be there. Thanks for the heads up!
It’s nice it’s in October. Not a lot happening then; makes it easier to schedule
Planning on it!
Jobe Fairweather Joe Dunkum Wouldn’t miss it for anything.
Sure sounds fun!
What’s the closest airport , Lexington?
I saw $130 nonstop deals today to Knoxville possibly. But its the week be4
Southwest airlines is advertising $59 one way to many cities. So check them out.

I wish I could! Got some great scionwood from him this year. Is che ripening around that time? That’s one thing I’d love to taste a few of their varieties to decide whether to add any others.
He had che last year.
I mentioned this to my wife and to my suprise she has started planning the trip. She called and talked to someone at England’s Orchard and got our names on the list…
It will be about 4.5 hour trip for us (one way).
We are planning on staying 2 nights… looking at the various lodging options, cabins, hotels, bed and breakfast, etc…

I’ll be taking my kids there. It’ll be my second trip with my oldest and 1st for my youngest. I think i read where a different farm is on tap this year. He had che, jujubes, persimmons, and pears if you stuck around a bit last year.
I think it would be nice to meet up before the tour and put faces to forum member ids. Any interest in meeting for breakfast in berea ky?
Sounds like a good time, but I dont see myself getting up early enough to make it to breakfast!
I’ll be driving from home about 3 hours away in the morning rather than staying the night close by. Looking forward to meeting more of the great folks on this forum!
I wonder if anyone attending Cliff England’s farm tour this year has a Hinnomaki Yellow gooseberry? If so, please let me know – I wonder if I could ask you to bring me a cutting that I could root. From my side, I have Hinnomaki Red and some WPBR-resistant black currants (Black Comb, Ben Sarek, and Minaj Smyriou) if anyone wants a cutting.
I am currently planning to attend this event, coming down from western Pennsylvania on Sunday and heading home Tuesday with some pit stops along the way.
Depending on my route I may try to visit other fruit destinations en route. If anyone has recommendations, please share! I do tentatively have plans for a stop on my way home.
I know very little about the location/area there… but my wife said there is a Cracker Barrell in Berea Ky.
We could do breakfast there… around 7:30
Need to be back at Englands by 9:30 am or so.
It is 29 min drive from Berea to Englands per goog.
Is there a better place to get some breakfast in that area ?
Thanks

We are traveling now heading up to England’s Orchard. We have a nice cabin for our stay there… 2 nights.
I will have on the brown stetson mountain sky hat (same one in my website image)… my wife is a small but feisty red head.
If you see us… give us a shout.
