Espalier Apple Trees not producing apples

Hello,

I have two espalier apple trees in my backyard. They are 4 - 5 years old. I’ve been pruning them and taking great care of them. They do not have any diseases and look wonderful.

Problem: they haven’t produced any apples yet. Is this normal for espalier apple trees? (gala and Granny Smith)

Pruning in the wrong time of the year.
To produce flowerbuds u have to prune in summer.
