I recently used the product - Vermont natural coatings poly whey exterior wood stain - for a deer fence
So far happy with results. Application is easy, two coats with the second following almost immediately after the first. Color also came out true. Time will tell for durability

This summer I installed irrigation on my trellises. The hard water drips on portions of the lumber. It turns the wood a real nice orange color! Presumably iron in the water?
Anyway, makes me wonder how often you’d need to hose down your wood surfaces to maintain the effect. Can’t really get cheaper or easier that setting up a sprinkler!

Anyone used Wood Defender fence stain?
Had someone recommend it but it’s hard to get a hold of - not available locally.
I ordered the Wood Defender semi-transparent Fence Stain in Goldenrod.
It was really expensive (in terms of my budget, not necessarily compared to similar products.)
The hardest part was opening the five gallon metal buckets.
Piece of cake to apply using cheap garden sprayer.
Highly recommend.
