Is anyone growing a Fearns Pippin apple tree? If so how do you like it and are you having any problems with the fruit on it?

@MikeC Are you growing Fearns Pippin? A neighbor has asked me to look at her English apples, one of which is FP, as they are not growing well or sick or both. I don’t know why they planted English apples in 7B. Maybe I can topwork them.
I am not growing the FP. I had asked because I was looking for a tart apple with a complex flavor as well. The FP was recommended to me by a nursery out in California. That being said, I was leery of it being an English apple, as you mentioned. The English apples are not very good for here in the states and especially where I an with a lot of rain and moisture during the spring time. If you figure out what is wrong with that FP your neighbor has please let me know. Sorry I was not of any help to you with this.
