Fig cutting under porch

Cool observation of some fig cutting I put under my back porch and have not touched for the last month other than watering twice. There is not direct sunlight but does get ambit sun light, does it not look like the cutting are leafing out better in the shadier spots?

The shadier ones look wetter. That could be the difference. Figs don’t root if too dry. They rot if too wet but just set there if too dry.

That’s what I thought as well, the ones in the ambit light must need a little more water, hard to believe what a little difference in light might do.

It’s not just light it’s the warming rays of the sun. That dries things out. Two waterings in a month isn’t much in those small cups.

I’ll increase watering. Next time I will also block out the light to where all the cup get the same amount of light so the watering should be enough.

I was going to buy some tree pots but all the ones I found on line were to much money so I bought 100 plastic cup that are 32oz and 7" tall for $28 dollars, so far their working pretty good.
