2)I was told it is celeste but would like someone to confirm, or provide correct name. Is it improved celeste or else. The fruit outside color is darker when warmer few weeks back, more purple.
fruit: medium size

3)Small black fig that is less hardy , more frost tender

  1. large green fig inside and outside is very similar to the #1) above except inside is darker red, not pinkish like the #1) above. but the leaf shape is very different

Two could be Celeste but I’m not certain as I unloaded mine yrs ago.

Three could be RdB, Ronde de Bordeaux. The leaves definitely look like RdB. Fruit dark and small but very tasty.

Tells us more about these figs. How old? In Pots? You are near me, so cool you got fruit, nice to know I can have figs here! I have 5 cultivars myself new this year. Florea produced a couple figs from a rooted cutting this year! It has about 15 figs, but only 2 or 3 will make it.

We have Celeste, Improved Celeste, and O’Rourke’s Improved Celeste. I would think near impossible to tell apart. I have O’Rourke’s coming this fall.

Thanks for solving part of mistery.

Drew these grew from cuttings in the pot, second year. I move they into garage in winter time so they aren’t kept very big. I got a lot of unripe figs, Celeste and RdB most productive, loaded with little figs. I also have both in pot, in ground hardy chicago but this year hardy chicago does not do well, no ripe fruits.
If you like to try , I can send you some cuttings in winter/spring.

Yes, and I have Florea which is supposed to be hardier than Chicago Hardy. Thanks for the info, it’s great to know this can work. I plan to keep in pots and in the garage too. Along with Sweetcrisp, and Indigocrisp blueberries. And some hardy plants I just don’t have room for! Thanks much for the offer and info!
