Freezing Sweet Potatoes

I don’t have a basement to keep sweet potatoes for an extended amount of time so I plan to freeze some. Methods vary online from broiling and mashing to partially baking them and wrapping in aluminium foil to freeze. Then finish cooking once you need them.
What method do you like? I have both dry and moist types to freeze.

I haven’t tried freezing them, but I find they keep great at room temp in a cabinet, closet, or other dark space. Usually good until at least May or June.

65 degrees or so and kept in the dark, and they should make it until March or later.
Many years ago the small and ‘swiveled’ ones would have sprouts ready for planting in a bed to make the ‘slips’ for next year’s crop.
Been over 30 years since I grew sweet potatoes other than in a flower pot though.

Sweets are MUCH easier to store for me than “white” potatoes.

Freezing takes up too much refrig. room. why not dry them instead. Dried sweet potato wedges taste great as snack and can be kept in room temperature for a long time. Or dry and mill them into flour.
