G.890 vs EMLA106 apple rootstock which is better?

I’m planning to graft a unknown apple variety I found and plant in my backyard in zone 6B WV im not sure how well draining the soil is. I would like a free standing tree 50% - 70% the size of a standard tree.

I’m surprized they let you start this many topics in one day.

G890 hasn’t been around long enough to completely compare them.
Good drainage and M106 are a good choice.
On sites that have had apples before, G890 is supposedly resistant to ‘replant disease’.
M106 probably makes a bigger tree…but I don’t have any
G890’s old enough to be able to prove that statement.
