Grafting with newly grafted scionwood

Hi,

So I budded some grapefruit onto my established lemon tree last summer and two of the buds took with one showing strong growth but no fruit yet. I didn’t think about it at the time, but the scion came from a very young grafted grapefruit tree (1-2 year old grafted tree). Do you all expect that means these limbs will not fruit for a while since the tree I took it from had not yet fruited or since it itself was from a mature fruiting tree one generation before, it’ll take close to the same time as something more typically done?
