This site should automatically downsize any too-large phone pictures as well so you should not need to do anything. Let me know if a big picture is getting an error message. There was a problem awhile back but I think its all fixed now.
Thanks Scott! Yes I tried downloading three times yesterday and the same message error came up that the file was too large.
Thanks for the information. It looks like they yet again 
changed the parameters for image upload, they used to have two parameters one for size of original and another for what it would resize to, and they got rid of the resize to parameter and made it be the original size instead.
Anyway it should work now, 5meg is the new max size which should cover about all phone pictures. If anyone is getting a too big error still, please let me know.

Does this site resize bigger? I know i’ve tried shrinking things down and it seems when post/it almost stretches them?
On an iPhone you can e-mail the photo to yourself and after you push send it gives you resize options to choose from. When you open the e-mail you Then can save it back to your photos resized and upload.

I’m the one who originally had this problem and it appeared fixed for several months but over the last few weeks it’s happened to me a handful of times. The wierd part is that after waiting a few minutes I no longer get that message and the image will upload. It’s weird but that’s how it’s been for me lately.

My iPhone problem was when I tried to upload two pictures, they were tilted on their side. When I tried to trick the system by tilting them on their side the other way, they stayed on their side after being uploaded. I finally gave up on the iPhone and uploaded them from my computer. No problem.

Occasionally I’ve had such problems but it is usually transient. Because I have an Apple MacBook I have difficulty uploading pictures from my computer. Since Apple imprisons all photos I have to export them to a file and then I can upload from my computer but using my iPhone or iPad I can send them straight to the forum thread. Lately I’ve had more problems with uploading (due to size ?) and I do wish there was an easy way to resize photos from your phone. This also seems transient and the error message does not mention size so I dunno.

We have DSL without fiber optics through our rural phone company for our WiFi and internet access, so I often get an error when I try to upload. I’ve figured out how to switch from actual size to large when uploading to this forum, but the shifting orientation was new.
Can you resize it without sending it to another file or email or anything like that? And yeah, I have to switch back and forth from WiFi to phone service to get the best upload speed.
Step one: choose option to go to Photo Library. Select photo.
Step two: touch link labeled “Show Selected.”
Step three: touch link labeled “Actual Size.”
Step four: choose from menu for smaller size.
