supposed to hit 76f thurs. upper 50’s low 60’s and showers till then. back to the upper 50’s come the weekend if the forecast holds. it just doesnt want to get hot this year which is normal and fine with me. black fly seasons going to be brutal this year.
high of 72 with low of 67 but lots of rain today. We can use it though as it has been very dry here.
60° sunny and breezy. First time we’ve seen the sun in a week and the vegetation is going gangbusters. It should hit 70° tomorrow for the first time since the 3rd. Soil temps are running in the low 50s and the ground is completely saturated.
GFS has accumulating snow around International Falls.
Almost -10C 850s into NE ND…keep that over there.
Slightly below normal NW flow would actually result in better weather here than what we’ve had. I’d rather have westerly dry flow versus the low level raw North Atlantic garbage.
93 on our back patio. 95 up front. 20% humidity. Borderline desert weather?
4" so far. It has not really stopped raining since it started. Very little sun yesterday, expected to not get any today either. Hasn’t rained that hard, just constant. Good for the plants and good for the soil. Need to break the ground’s hydrophobia before the summer.
Jealous of that rain, we just got the limited downpour on Friday and it has flirted with rain ever since but it’s been too cool (70s) very pleasant out even with 80% humidity.
looks like our wet spell has ended for now. looking at 80 by weds. things will really get going now.
A few days back they said this is a desert airmass. Right out of Arizona. Today is different…lot of moisture moved in this morning. Feels like July out there with the humidity. Also getting a lot of clouds building up so many finally see some rain.
The forecast said we are going to have 51% chance of rain for several days but no drops of rain yet. Keep the hopes up. And it’s going to be in lower 90s on Thursday, in May!
50-60mph winds and lots of dust with it
86 with 24% humidity here. I’ll take it over 86 and 70% humidity, but its still crazy for this area in early May. Looks to end Thursday, then frost likely Saturday night
About the same here. 93 yesterday, 87 today. 60s and upper 50s at night. That’s warmer than most of our days in July. High of of 49 for Sunday, low of 32.
Low 80’s to upper 70’s the next 3 days then back to the upper 50’s for the weekend.
In Fairfax VA, been raining continuously throughout the day today and we’re currently up to 2.5"…and it is still coming down.
I’m in the Shenandoah Valley in VA and I’m at 3.05" today! It’s one big puddle out there.
2” of torrential downpour came with a ton of wind. Knocked over a few potted plants but thats to be expected, broke one of my blueberries at the ground. This happened last year with the same one and I zip-tied it back like a graft. Removed the zip tie this year I guess it was too soon. Obviously didn’t work fully, so just removed all the berries and staked it up, we will see. I may just need to cut it down and hope for it to push new suckers.
I’m nearby dc metro and it just won’t stop raining! Potomac River is flooded. My veg gardens are lush, but my program to keep CAR to a min on my serviceberries is certainly a goner. Mushrooms everywhere! Looks like we won’t dry out for another 5 days again.
