My persimmon survived the winter with double reflective insulator cover and a heat lamp operated by controller. Now I need to prune it. Last spring I found it dead to 4 lowest buds. So one became a new leader and grew like crazy last summer. Other three branches I kept as feeding branches. I already removed two, that looked really out of place. Now I am debating if I need to cut a last one on the left. For some reason I hesitate to do so, but can’t explain why to myself. Any thoughts?

I would get rid of that lower branch to have a nice single Central leader for better tree form.

Agree with Tony. Keep a single trunk.
Also, I admire your dedication and willingness to winter-protect this tree.
