That looks like the Banded Net-winged Beetle (Calopteron discrepens).If that’s the one,they probably won’t do harm to your plants.bb

Note the common names and spelling of species in this genus.

The MES111 beetle has a wing pattern that resembles C. reticulatum,

Probably. I was hoping the spikes ones were nymphs of the same!

But look to have longer spikes than the photos on line .
Maybe try to get better photos of them , Larry will probably tell us ?

Cannot tell from the above lady beetle images if they only have two spots, and whether these spots are nearer the thorax or the rear.

The dark form of the 2-spot apparently has 4 spots.

Post a picture from directly above a beetle and in better light.
