Sadly, most people won’t look before leaving—no matter how many PSA posters one hangs—and these things will be all over the place before you know it. Human negligence and laziness are the greatest allies of any invasive----and they’re never in short supply. 
Sometimes, when I’m in one of my “Miniver Cheevy” moods, I fantasize about gardening and orcharding in an earlier, less integrated world: wouldn’t have as much variety in plants, but there sure would be fewer diseases and pests to contend with!
