As I took survey today of my dozen or so peach varieties it looks like the yellow peaches did better with producing ‘some’ fruit this season even with our killer 2026 frost we had in the region. Specifically, the Elberta and Redhaven. Now it could be just these 2 varieties are good at late frosts. I have a few other yellow peaches that didn’t do much. The Redhaven is also near a brick wall that helps block some of the wind. But 2 other peach varieties are in the same local and produced nill.
Do you feel yellow peaches handle late frost better than white peaches?
