Indian White Guava

I found out that the tree I bought a few years ago is this type of guava. I can’t get the fruit to ripen on the tree because squirrels or possums eat it. It doesn’t seem to ripen in the house, at least, it doesn’t get very soft. It is edible but so much work for so little fruit! Any ideas on how to eat or cook? I do have a lot of large unripe ones. Thanks.

Quite disappointing having those vermin, since cultivar you have is excellent. Unfortunately immature guavas are too acrid to have any use for
