Jujubes baby fruits

i had some jujubes had little fruit but then it all dropped. the tree is 4-5 ft tall. is it due to age? lack of water? too much water? what other reasons? pollination doesn’t seem to be the issue since there are other varieties of jujube around. thank you for any advice!

How old is your tree? Is it in ground or in a pot?

in pot 3-4 year old grafted

Hopefully, @jujubemulberry will chime in. Mine are in ground. They fruit pretty much from the first year in ground. The only time, small fruit turned yellow and dropped was when they were not properly cross pollinated.

There have been evidence that jujubes need to be planted very close to each other and being in full sun to help with good fruit setting.

I still feel that your fruit drops was a pollination issue. 3-4 years old grafts of jujubes should be ready to bear fruit.

i agree, especially with full sun requirement. Jujus leaf out really late, so best to situate in the sunniest part of the yard where it is farthest from trees/tall overhanging structures
