I already had a couple nice refractometers 0-32% but when I happened on this toshiba 28-66% a year or so ago for very cheap I jumped on it. I still have not used it. I guess I still need to learn how to grow fruit with brix in 30s. I think by looking at it was a expensive instrument and is basically new condition.

According to fruit nut you are a pessimist because, as I recall, he finds brix above about 28 to lead to off flavors.

28 is usually golden. 30 and above gets into the off flavor zone.
