I’ve got an old Tenroy Gala on M7. It produces a nice crop of thick skinned, small, sweet-bland, apples every year. Apples stay small no matter how hard it’s thinned and it’s the only tree in my orchard to get FB strikes yearly. Kids that I give this apple to love it, me, not so much.
Should I cut it back hard and top work it, replace it, or tolerate it. Opinions please.

I share your opinion of Gala. It’s not what I consider worth much time, and if you have an opportunity to put it to better use you should! There are lots of better options out there.

I’m not sure what you mean by top work. If M7 is fireblight free in your area, then I’d stump graft 3 of the same scions – otherwise I’d pull it.
