Killer Pear AKA Florida 58-45

Do any of you know anything about the pear known as Florida 58-45? It’s also known as Killer Pear. Here’s a photo.

Yes i do https://npgsweb.ars-grin.gov/gringlobal/accessiondetail.aspx?id=1574242. Its an Ethan Natelson donation " Florida 58-25’ came from the breeding program of Wayne Sherman, in Gainesville, Florida. He never released it. It is a large pear of very good quality. Almost totally russeted, like Bosc and pyriform. Seems fairly blight-resistant here (Houston, TX). Ethan Natelson, March 14, 1999." Since scion is available you should be able to graft it next year.

Hope it’s a good one. A friend dropped by the house and left me some sion wood. Grafting the 4 sticks this morning. Happy to hear its a Florida pear to, should be fine in our humid hot environment.

Here also left me a stick of southern king and 4 sticks of tennosui

I only know it got some good reviews at some pear tastings in Houston. Grafted a couple trees two years ago, no fruit yet.
