Color me impressed, my very neglected litchi tomato plants sailed right through a (brief) freeze of 22 F. Strawflower seems to be mostly ok too.
Some immature fruit did get zapped.

I had one spring up next to my compost bin last year. It was funny because I hadn’t grown them in a decade or more. I was surprised too how much cold it endured before it was killed. Its a cool plant. If they were tastier, I probably wouldn’t mind the thorns as much.
Yeah, the “mild blueberry in the height of summer” is nice, but nothing amazing. Wish it tasted better.
