Low chill and heat-tolerance golden kiwifruit cultivar ‘Cishan 01’

Climate change, a pressing global concern, poses significant challenges to agricultural systems worldwide. Among the myriad impacts of climate change, the cultivation of kiwifruit trees (Actinidia spp.) faces multifaceted challenges.

In response to these challenges, approximately 13 years ago, we are breeding climate-resilient golden kiwifruit cultivar with very low chilling requirements (about 0 hours of chilling), and heat-tolerance (over 36℃), named ‘Cishan 01’.

‘Cishan 01’ fruit flavor is very sweet and mild with a tangy after taste and a characteristically smooth texture. Fruit can be harvested in late October or early August in the Pingtung region of southern Taiwan.

The fruit average 17.6% soluble solids (measured as ° Brix) at maturity for consumption.

Do you know if they were grown at elevation? And if their is any avalibility in the US? Is about 0 chill hours <100 hours?
I know alot of people who have tried kiwi in SoFlo. This is almost perfect for that.
