Hopefully, we’ll both be able to compare our apples soon. This year deer already took most of them from my trees.
I might have got to taste Odysso last year…but birds or something ate all of them at marble size.
It as cherry ripening time…so I figure the birds got disappointed as they tried to eat the apples already red inside and out.
After reading this, I sewed some holographic scare tape onto organza bags and cut flaps to shudder in the breeze. I bought the bags on Amazon last fall anticipating I might want to bag some apples this year. Some sort of organza party gift bag. It only takes a few seconds to sew the strip onto the bag. The scare tape worked very well last year for blueberries and cherries. I think the sunlight flashing on the tape, moving in the breeze, distracts the birds. It’s almost blinding to my eyes.
My redloves will only have a few apples. This is their first year bearing. I want to taste them!
