Micronized Sulfur for mold control on fig cuttings

What do you think about using micronized sulfur to control mold on fig cuttings being held in cold storage? Basically, coating them in micronized (dry) sulfur powder before storing in ziplock bags?
Any cons to this method you know of?

I use Thiolux.

By the way, at minimal dosage it will also kill fig mites.
