My little orchard

looking awesome Conway! I need to build a fence like that around my pool.

RedSun. Thank you. I used the same mulch over a lot of my garden and it is breaking down fairly quick. Fortunately our city has a green waste site that gives away as much mulch as you want. Just cost time and gas money. I usually wait until it hasnt rained in a few day so the load isnt so heavy. I need to get more soon.

This is good. Otherwise the cost of mulch (+truck) is just too much …

Great job Mr Conway

26 inches of rain in the last 60 days has really made my trees go nuts. Once tropical storm Bill left I was able to go out and do some size control. My plums and apples have grown quite a bit too but nothing like these three peaches.
this was right before their haircut

and this was after, backside of them. I will probably let them get too about 7-8 feet tall and that will be the finished height. Chainlink fence is 6 feet.
Yes these are big box trees and I know they probably wont be what I think they are, but they are peaches and with any luck next year Ill hopefully finally be eating my own grown fruit.

Mike, you have a very nice orchard. Trees are well taken care.

I am from Tulsa too. I planted few fruit trees this spring. I am hoping that in future they will grow up like yours.

26" of rain for last 60 days was too much for my little trees. I have over watering issue for some of my little trees.

Good luck for your orchard.

MMR, thanks for that. Yours will get there. with the recent rain and next weeks weather we should have tons and tons of growth, plus gigantic mosquitoes.

Mike, very nice orchard and what healthy trees you have! Looks like you’ve got some summer pruning chores ahead, but that’s a good thing, think how established your trees are, now!

thanks patty. At this rate I may have to prune twice more.
