My tree peonies are beautiful

Beautiful blooms for sure.

I have some tree peonies in my front yard. I often missed the time of blooming because I was too busy in spring and their blooming time is too short.

Beautiful! A related thread someone might like is this one https://growingfruit.org/t/japanese-tree-peony/13515 which discusses grafting peonies. My former fiance @peaches is lovely and has lovely yellow tree peonies to match her beauty. Yellow im told is one of the rarest colors. I was interested in grafting them for a time. The ones that were posted here are absolutely stunning!

For me, yellow peony is very common.
I didn’t devote a lot of time to tree peonies since the short blooming time. Just dig a hole and plant them. No fertilizer, no watering.
I didn’t grow a lot, just one color for one variety.

Have a half dozen tree peonies that are very old but still producing.

Yes, they could live to over one hundred years.

I planted 5 clumps at this patio back in 2011 from bare-roots. It grows to about at knee high after 11 years, quite a slow grower! Beautiful and fragrant at bloom time, nonetheless!
