Got my rootstock today and ground is frozen.
Question what to do with it until ably to plant?
Maybe a month or two before I can plant.
Thanks

I have a small apartment size refrigerator that I use for rootstock. Just make sure not to have any fruits or vegetables with it.
Thanks I will try that.

You could go buy a bag of topsoil at big box store and empty it over the roots effectively heeling them in.
Thats what I did this year as well, but it rained then froze that night. The dirt turned to a block of ice. Have you ever had that happen? Would it hurt the plant?
Could build a small fire over a well drained area,
Just enough to thaw the ground , to heal in.
I did heal in a bunch of plants a couple of years ago during the winter but I don’t believe that I had the issue with the whole thing turning into a block of ice.
Thanks good idea maybe I do that.
Thanks
Dave
I had them in small pots. A learning mistake. Went ahead and planted. The idea was right, but I tried to be stingy with the dirt.
I did get a bag of top soil and plant the rootstock,
Thanks
