I’m pretty new to natives, so I’m only guessing for fun. Someone else will have to tell me if I am right or not. Elderberry?

The bloom bloom cluster is similar looking and but not as large, this is a sapling sized tree, I should have clarified. Here is a photo of the trunkimage

Nannyberry viburnum, maybe?

The blooms look spot on! When I google images most have multiple trunks and this is a single trunk but that could be result of growing as an understory tree instead of full light. Thanks lucky, my mother finds these trees in the woods near their house and it brings her joy to know precisely what they are.
