Jeff Zarnowski of Z’s Nutty Ridge will speak on layering hazelnuts and chestnuts

We anticiate that Don Cobb the “oak man” will attend the meeting. He has a large collection of hybrid oaks. Here is an article he wrote for the International Oak Society entitled In Search of the Edible Oak.

In the afternoon we will be visiting Surik Mehrabyan’s nursery for a demonstration of grafting.

Richard Fahey of Singing Tree is planning to be at the meeting. He is the past apple maven for NAFEX.

Still time to register. There is a good mix of registrants including urban growers/commercial growers/back yard growers/homesteaders/woodlot owners/academics and nursery owners.
