Observation re flowers on a new graft

These are two pictures of a graft of Dollywood onto Prok. I have similar grafts of Barbra’s Blush and H63A. All of them have flowers. Not many but some. On each of these pictures, I’ve circled a flower bud.

I have no point. I just think it’s fascinating that a brand new graft will blossom.

[In the same vein, last year I bought Kieffer pear. I grafted a small piece onto an established tree. The graft grew 2 branches, each ~3’ long. This year, the two branches hold a total of roughly 40 pears. The mother three has 2-3.]

USUALLY, from what I understand, you want to rub off flowers on first year grafts so they don’t break anything trying to grow fruit. That is exciting though!

Thanks. Yeah. I plan to remove them.

They will definitely stunt the graft if allowed to fruit.
