Odom. Pretty on the outside but over ripe

How does it rate in taste? I’ve been thinking of trying some of the American varieties, as some claim less rot on them.

It is sweet with a tart skin when ripe. I prefer to eat them as they start to ripen.

Picked the last eight this morning. These are at the green/ripe stage that sell well at my location.
