Pawpaws flowering in October

2 of my pawpaws I just discovered are flowering.
Others may be swelling, hard to say.

This could be a problem

Mine do that sometimes but Wabash seems to be flowering everything its got right now so I might not have anything left for the spring.

Not funny! hehehe

Yeah my worry exactly. Oh well, nothing I can do but watch.
It was definitely not something I expected to see today!

Crazy plants!
Bummer is the 2 trees farthest along in this ill-timed flowering are doing so on their first ever flower buds. So if they all open I will have to wait another year to taste them for the first time. :broken_heart:

You shouldn’t jest! I was seriously thinking “Is that possible?!?!” for like two seconds.

If it were possible I’d be all for it!

I wonder if there’d be any benefit to pulling off the flower buds that are clearly swelling/opening. Wonder if there could be some hormonal effect they exert on other buds, signaling them to wake up.
Probably not, but entered my mind ….
