Peachtree Borer Treatment

Hi,

I live in Colorado, and this year I planted my first bare root fruit trees. Colorado State University recommends spraying all stone fruit trees 2 or 3 times a year to control the peachtree borer. Can anyone tell me if I should spray these first year trees?

Colorado State recommends permatgrin and cabaryl (Sevin).

It has a very good article with good pictures and detailed info about different stages of borers, timing (for Colorado) and spray. Worth reading.
