I’m very new here and appreciating all the expert knowledge being shared.
I’d like to start making Perry and have been looking for a Merrylegs Perry pear tree but can’t find a supplier.
I wondered if anyone had come across this variety and knew either a supplier or someone who has one that would be willing to share a Scion? I’d be happy to pay for a shared Scion.

It shows as being in their collection. I’ve emailed them to ask if it’s possible to get a scion but I’ve had no response. Do you know if the trees there are labelled in any way? I was thinking about heading up there and looking for it to take a cutting myself.
I highly advise waiting a bit to see if they respond. I’d be pretty p.o.'d if someone showed up and started taking cuttings from my trees without first asking permission. I have no issues with giving permission, it is just that little thing of “asking” first.
J. Ford Wilkinson had this occur about a hundred years ago. He had some choice words for the idiot who was climbing his tree.
I see they have a Facebook page. You could politely try sending a direct message that way; sometimes emails get buried, but FB messenger messages for that page might be sparse enough that someone will see.
