Pheasant backs?

Are these pheasant backs?

What does it smells like? Believe it or not they don’t smell like mushrooms.

So far all I have found this year is false morels :’(

I don’t know, I didn’t pick or smell them
My wife found a few morels and we got enough asparagus for a meal.

Goog search on pheasant back mushroom yields these images…
Sure looks right…

Next time take wiff, they should smell like cucumbers. Leave the big ones alone as they are hard.

This guy is good… he may tell you more than you want to know about it.

I would never give an absolute identification via picture….but yes it is a dryad’s saddle aka pheasant back. Should smell like watermelon rind or cucumbers.
