Plum grafting

I have a couple plum trees that are around 8 years old. They seem to bloom too early most years and a late freeze kills the crop. I am not sure what variety they are though I think they are probably Santa Rosa. Is there a variety that would be good to graft them over to that would bloom a little later in the year? I have some Morris plums which seem to bloom later but I was wondering what other ones would likely bloom a couple weeks later at least

Alderman and Superior plum bloom later here. I don’t know if they are suited to your region.

You should go for cultivars requiring more chill hours. The more the chill requirement later the bloom
