It will take a lot more research to make it useful. Looks like it is too slow right now.
I’m pretty sure that’s a research model they’re using there. Imagine that with multiple picking arms, running at a faster pace… it will revolutionize apple picking… given time.

And when they grab you with those metal claws, you can’t break free… because they’re made of metal, and robots are strong.
Maybe they could be repurposed to catch squirrels
