Good to know. I’ll start a lot more next year and put them around the yard.

The white roselle have started. This is roughly the same time last year. Day length is just under 13 hours (12h 50min). I saw some yesterday, so <13 hours is probably when flower formation starts. My reds are still pretty small, weren’t transplanted till last week. But they have typically been late October/early November anyways, so should be able to get reasonable size in time.

Roselle has been blooming nicely for 2 weeks. Had a friend over who said they used to just eat them fresh, so we tried that- what a great tart snack! I plan on growing many more of them next year

I didn’t take any pictures, but my confused, half mite-eaten plant has continued flowering as it’s gotten larger, but was kind of stalled for like two and a half months while the others were growing nicely. And the red and white plants are both showing tiny flower buds.
