This is my Roxbury russet graft on a seedling rootstock. It has pushed 10 inches of growth from each of its top two buds. Should I clip one of them off so it can start growing its central leader?
Yes. Or if you feel more comfortable head back the non keeper to about half its length for now and remove it entirely down the road.
