Scab & CAR immune/very resistant crab apple recommendations

Hi folks: I am looking for a tart/sweet crab apple with excellent scab and CAR resistance. Will use it primarily for fresh eating and drying. Thoughts in particular on Centennial vs Dolgo? I have eaten Americus before and it was great, but I cant seem to find a place to get either trees or scion wood - any leads?

Thx,

derwag

I think Redfield would work…but it is regular apple in size. A little sour and would need to be cooked, juiced or dried pretty soon, as I hear tell they won’t keep long. Cummins and others still have it for sale I think.

If I recall correctly @Lucky_P grows several crab apples. Hopefully, he will chime in.

No issues with either dz on Centennial here. It’s DolgoXWealthy, and very good sweet, but i don’t have Dolgo, so can’t comment on it.
