Scarifying using acid

I have some molar acid for scarifying my Jujube Spinosa pits so the seeds will grow. Any ideas on how long to let them soak?

Is it necessary to use acid? Can you dehusk them? I have only eaten a handful of jujube, but I thought I remember them being the size of apple seeds. I use toenail clippers on plum pits, and a nail file on smaller seeds I have germinated.
