Thinking of grafting this one over to a mature tree but have not done so yet. This seedling was growing among half a dozen callery on the edge of my woods. Everyone thinks I’m just being nice allowing the animals to eat windfall pears but that’s not completely true. Those windfalls could have been pollinated by anything. It’s true the animals need to eat to but they also plant a lot of pears for me. I’ve never saw a callery with that bark or those buds this one is going to be a winner I think.
