Should I trim my honeyberry?

My honeyberries gave us some fruit this year. To protect them we put netting over them for a couple of weeks causing several of the branches to grow downward. Should I trim the downward facing growth so that it can start regrowing upwards?

My guess is that it would have drooped regardless. Some varieties tend to do that. You could trim lower branches to make less stooping to pick them if you want, or to make mowing easier.

They are boreal series and up until i put the netting on, they were very upright.

Give them a few days to recover. And sure you can prune, which may cause branching though.
