I grew this crabapple by accident. Red foliage and pink blooms!

what’s the fruit like? there’s a very old crab that grows at the University of Maine at Fort Kent that looks like that color wise and is covered with purple blossoms in May. fruit is tiny but it’s the most beautiful crab I’ve ever seen. squirrels and jays raid it in the fall.

My daughter has a crabapple that looks like that.
The fruit are smaller than blueberries.
I added a couple grafts of chestnut crab to it this spring. I may eventually replace all the high/sunnyside limbs with chestnut and trailman crabs.

Looks a lot like my Centurion Crab apple in color. I parked Wallace Howard and Pionier scions on it and they are doing well on it.
